On Saturday, April 6, 10:00AM-2:00PM, Calvary United Methodist Church, 403 S. Main St., Mt. Airy is pleased to announce a free Health and Wellness Fair for all ages.  35+ health and safety related agencies will be attending. Free blood pressure checks, HIV testing, and hepatitis testing will be available. Hospice, fitness groups, service organizations, physical therapy, aid for women experiencing violence, an elder law attorney, and agencies offering assistance for elderly, children, and families will be there with information.  The Mt. Airy Police and Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Departments will have information available on fire and gun safety.  Mt. Airy Net, which provides food and emergency financial assistance, and Calvary’s Diaper Ministry will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items, diapers, and baby wipes. Other attendees include agencies dealing with mental health issues, support for grieving families, and substance abuse recovery.
