Project: Carroll County Health Department Respiratory Protection Plan

A contract to create a Carroll County Health Department Respiratory Protection Plan.

The plan will include the elements of the functions and tasks listed in Capability 14: Responder Safety & Health (http://www.cdc.gov/phpr/capabilities/capability14.pdf).  The plan will adhere to the Occupational Health & Safety Administration’s respiratory protection guidance as well as the Emergency Responder Health Monitoring and Surveillance (ERHMS).

In addition, the plan will include:

  1. Policy and procedures for fit testing
  2. Emergency responder health monitoring and surveillance (ERHMS guidance) and the inclusion of a medical deployment clearance checklist (pre-deployment, identifying health department positions responsible for oversight, implementation, and training, as well as resources for personal protective equipment just-in-time training).

Project to be completed by June 30, 2017.
